Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga Review

Now Streaming on Netflix

I enjoy Amar Kaushik’s creative work, whether it’s “Stree” or “Bhediya.” His collaboration with Dinesh Vijan has consistently been good. Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga is an official remake of the Telugu movie Kaithi.  “Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga” presents a gripping edge-of-the-seat thriller with a plethora of unexpected twists and turns. The captivating story captivates your attention throughout its runtime, and credit is due to the outstanding performances by Yami Gautam and Sunny Kaushal, both of whom bring uniqueness and memorability to their roles.

The film skillfully navigates the challenge of delivering twists that avoid clichés, making it an engaging experience. While some twists were predictable, their execution was crucial, and the film managed to surprise me with unexpected moments. This achievement is particularly noteworthy in today’s saturated thriller landscape.

The film’s background music seamlessly complements the narrative, enhancing the storytelling. The cinematography is impressive, with authentic aeroplane sequences that add to the film’s authenticity and thrill. However, delving further into details could spoil the experience, as this plane ride is far from turbulent—it’s an emotional roller coaster.

Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga follows Neha (Yami), a flight attendant, and Ankit (Sunny), a passenger, who become entwined in a tumultuous relationship. When they find themselves on a hijacked flight, their journey takes unexpected turns amidst the chaos. The intertwining of multiple individual plans adds complexity to the gripping storyline.

Yami Gautam’s portrayal of Neha is a testament to her acting prowess. She brings nuanced details to her character, infusing authenticity into her performance. Sunny Kaushal shines as Ankit, undergoing seamless transitions between emotions, especially during the hijacking, where his authenticity shines. Deepak Dobriyal’s portrayal of Ashwathama is a revelation, showcasing his versatility and commitment.

Directed by Ajay Devgn, the film expertly balances thrilling storytelling with engaging visuals. The writing, executed by writers Amar, Siraj Ahmad, and Ajay himself, maintains a balance between clarity and intrigue, avoiding overwhelming complexity. Minor editing issues aside, the screenplay effectively keeps audiences engrossed. The courtship period between Yami and Sunny lacks chemistry and comes across as exaggerated in dialogue delivery. Sharad Kelkar’s potential is underutilized, and editing inconsistencies occasionally disrupt the film’s pace.

“Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga” is a captivating watch that keeps you on the edge of your seat for its runtime. Yami and Sunny deliver exceptional performances, showcasing their acting prowess. The film promises an adrenaline rush, making it a must-watch for those seeking gripping thrills.
