Ankush Bharadwaj is from Kotgarh, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. His musical journey started in beautiful valleys of Shimla. From his very childhood, Ankush was passionate about music. His first inspiration for the music was his father. Ankush’s father used to sing for Radio and Doordarshan TV Channel. He learned singing by listening to songs on radio and TV and didn’t take any professional training.
One saddest part of Ankush’s life is that he has a major eye disease called Keratoconus. Every person looks blur to him and the doctor says that he will become blind slowly. During Audition of Indian Idol, he sang the song “O Saiyyan” from movie “Agneepath” and won the hearts of all three judges; Anu Malik, Neha Kakkar and Vishal Dadlani with his melodious voice. Ankush Bhardwaj went on to become the first runner up of Indian Idol 10.
Ankush will perform with Winner Salman Ali, Finalists Nitin Kumar and Kunal Pandit on 29 November 2019 at the Lyric Theatre – Gold Reef City and 1 December 2019 at The Globe – Suncoast. Book now at Computicket.
