Sunday Times Eastern Bridal Fair: A celebration of love & marriage with exquisite fashion & dance

STEBF-126

The Sunday Times Eastern Bridal Fair (STEBF) has done it again! They have left no stone un-turned in creating a magnificent fair which presented stunning fashion, couture & décor with many other services required by brides on their big day. Like every year – many patrons go to the fair essentially to attend the highly entertaining Dance & Fashion Show.  The Fashion Show was produced by Epic Entertainment who created magic once before at the 2013 show – in creative collaboration with Durban’s finest Indian dance institute Nateshwar Dance Company, Shampa Sonthalia Choreography by Yash Pandya & Tempest Media. The show was scripted & designed by Rakesh Maharaj of Epic Entertainment.  The show was technically all-encompassing & looked outstanding. The calibre of this production is that of an international level.   Epic Entertainment has created another splendid STEBF.

Ishq Wala Love – Love through the ages is a show which entertained patrons of all ages with high voltage choreography and breath-taking fashion. The show illustrated love through all ages expressed beautifully by three couples. It went into the story of the lead characters Rahul (Pubern Padayachee) and Anjali (Elaine John Chetty), a college going couple who falls in love and draws inspiration from the tales of Radha Krishna, Jodhaa Akbar & feels the emotions of Ram-Leela during tempestuous times in their love story. They ultimately marry each other and love triumphs.

The audiences fell in love with the Radha-Krishna segment of the show especially when the dancers were illuminated in bright colours during the Nagada Sang Dhol dance sequence. The use of modern Bollywood dance tracks like Lucky Tu Lucky Me & Tune Mari Entriyan added fun to the beautiful tale of Radha-Krishna. The Jodhaa Akbar segment looks superb and captivated audiences of all ages. The dancers looked stunning during their sensual Ram-Leela act. Dancers Divaksha Jinabhai and Yesheen Bhagwandeen were fantastic in their contemporary act to the popular Awari from Ek Villain and Silk Dancer from Blue Fire added beauty to this bravura act! The girls added Broadway spark to this stellar event with Baby Doll & the guys added vibe with Tattad Tattad & the group of dancers together amazed us with Jumme Ki Raat , Saturday Saturday and Indian Television actor, Piyush Sahdev known for his role as KT on a popular Zee TV serial, added star quality to the weekend with his interaction with show audiences, modelling for headline designer Mansi Malhotra and his super star performance to the high powered Dhating Naach in the finale with the brilliant dance crew and choreographers Yash & Foram.

The fashion show this year was nothing short of an International Fashion Week. Designer Mansi Malhotra showcased her beautiful creations this year. The haute couture label “Mansi Malhotra” was launched in the year 2011. The brand primarily focuses on bespoke Indian and fusion wear. The creative force behind the label is Mansi Malhotra, who has worked with some of the well-renowned fashion brands in the past in India and abroad. She returned to India in 2010 from London after finishing her under-graduation in fashion design and retail management, and post-graduation in fashion business management and decided to launch her label which now sells widely in the UK and New Delhi.
