The Fashion show at this year’s Eastern Bridal Fair was nothing short of pure excellence. The event began with a beautiful introduction portraying the rich culture of our Indian heritage in a beautiful Rajasthani dance piece and an invocation to Lord Ganesha . The fashion presented at the fashion was marvelously exquisite. Designer Varun Bahl brings you a show with the feel of an international fashion week. Mansi Malhotra is a young, fresh and vibrant designer who creates magic on the runway with her contemporary modern outlook to bridal couture. This Delhi-based fashion designer presented an exquisitely detailed collection of garments with a variety of cuts and styles to suit every girl who dreams of her big day! While in conversation with Mansi she said ‘the collection that I have brought to Durban have been inspired by art décor and painting by the French artist Claude Monet. The most in-shade for bridal couture is shades of coral and scarlet. The in-shade colours of fashion at the moment for fashion is definitely burnt orange, dusty pink and coral again, and the usual ivory and gold. Designer Brands Suvidha, Dadar Paaneri and Mr Executive also added beautiful garments and presented a classy array of creative designs showcasing the beauty of Indian design. An added element of fun arose when the models and dancer had a chance to interact on stage. The production this year was different from the previous years as it showcased a stylish design which made it easy on the eye for you catch a glimpse of the finest couture being presented and entertainment. The LED panels with superbly done graphic design allowed for you feel the ambiance created by the show in terms of its storyline. I have to say that Epic Entertainment has done a praiseworthy job in creating a spectacular production for the Fashion show this year.

The Rajasthani-costumed puppets hosted segments of the event and truly shined luminously as they entertained audiences with their delightful take on Hindu Marriage. The dance sequences for the fashion extravaganza was seamlessly choreographed by Shampa Sonthalia – winner of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa season 5 in association with Durban’s finest dance institute Nateshwar Dance Academy . The dance sequences showcased a great mix of traditional, contemporary and modern dance which wowed audience and got their feet’s tapping. The famous ZEE-TV stars Onir and Teju added star quality to the event which allowed the stars to interact with member of the audience and performed in the finale piece.

While in conversation with people who attended the Eastern Bridal Fair they have said that the event is great, they are having fun and the bridal fair this year has been the best they’ve seen in years and nothing like they have seen before and they will definitely attend the bridal fair next year because they have been entertained. The Eastern Bridal Fair brings together the best in bridal couture, the finest jewellers, elaborate catering companies and breath-taking concepts by Xclusive Events, Events by Design and the renowned Durban wedding décor expert Koogan Pillay who showcased an exclusively magnificent design which wowed all who have seen it. Today is the last day to catch this exclusive fashion show and exciting shopping experience at the Kendra Hall in Durban. There are three shows planned for today at 12h00, 15h00 and 18h00 but by popular demand a show for 19:45 has been planned to wow audiences one more time- This is when you know that people have loved and enjoyed the show!
