‘Aiyyaa’ is a story of a middle-class Maharashtrian girl Meenakshi Deshpande(Rani Mukherjee) and her dream life. Meenakshi’s dreams are fuelled by romantic Bollywood films.
She has a weird family, a father who smokes four cigarettes at one time with some self made gadgets, a mother who is overdramatic in everything she does, a grandmother , who is on wheel-chair but roams around the house in her sun glasses, a brother who is obsessed with dogs.
Meenakshi, who is led by her nose, falls in love with Surya (Prithviraj Sukumaran) as he smells good. Surya is a student of Art College where she works as a librarian. On the other hand her family finds one Madhav (Subodh Bhave) for her. What will she do next ? watch Aiyya to find out …

The music and dance choreography of Aiyyaa shines in a rather poorly scripted story with no purpose but if you love Rani Mukherjee I suggest you watch Aiyyaa ….
